Fashion made in Austria.
What do you associate with Austria? For most people Wiener Schnitzel, Sachertorte, Mozart, Waltz, Sissi & mountains are typically Austrian. But Austria has more to offer than these clichés. For example an unbelievable creative and growing fashion scene with a distinctive signature. Meanwhile there are several designers, playing a role on the international scene like Lena Hoschek, Thomas Kirchgrabner or La Hong. But there are much more young designers conquering the international market. Therefore I’m dedicating this week to my „Austrian designer collection“ and I’m really proud to introduce three talented Austrian designers to you. To start off is amazing designer and stylist Nina Kepplinger or rather her label Ninali. Influences from historical designs, use of atypical materials and sustainability characterize her work. Therefore it’s not surprising that Nina was chosen by C&A to represent Austria at their current „re-imagine design challenge“. By the way – my OOTD is her design for this challenge. The transparent organic-silk dress and oversize jacket made of fabric remnants are a perfect combination of historic C&A collections, modern cuts and sustainable elements like fairtrade, environmentally friendly prints and recycling. I would like to take this opportunity once more to support Nina! Until 15th of May you can help her to win the challenge by hitting the „like“ button at facebook site of C&A. Thank you so much for your support! – My dearest guys, what do you think about this unusual look? Incredible styling by Nina, make up by Jody and pics of Julia made my feel a little bit like Carrie Bradshow 🙂 …
