Fashion trends 2015: What’s new?
This week is all about fashion trends S/S 2015 on my blog! First: Good news for those guys already invested in trendy key pieces last year. S/S fashion hardly differs from last year! Many big trends like sporty glam, retro or minimalism are still „en vogue“ – there are hardly any groundbreaking and completely new trends. With two exceptions: Flared jeans and boot cut pants will become the pants of the year and dark, earthy burgundy red „Marsala“ the color of the year. Therefore first look of my this week’s „spring summer preview collection“ are pants with this trendy color combined with several shades of berry.
Briefly summarized here are fashion trends of S/S 2015:
Shapes & styles:
- sporty glam – chic & casual with sneakers, mesh & retro influences
- uniforms – modern amazons and power women wear straight military looks
- glam rock – with lots of leather, velvet and sequins
- fifties – feminine flower prints & midi skirts
- sixties and seventies – gypsy style with lace, fringes, folklorist patterns and hippie style with flared pants (boot cut jeans), vests and mini skirts
- minimalism – simple, androgynous or feminine interpreted with puristic cuts, deep V-neckline, culottes, jumpsuits & cropped tops
- loose fitted trench coats in Kimono style
Colors
- Marsala – new Pantone color of year 2015 is a deep, earthy red
- pastel – soft sorbet colors like rose, powder blue, min green and lavender
- yellow & orange
- green
- black & white
- ethno prints, jungle-, flower- & animal prints (especially birds), gladly also together with safari elements
