Monochrome looks verbinde ich einerseits mit einfärbigen Outfits bzw. Stücken aus derselben Farbfamilie, andererseits mit Outfits in „Unfarben“ wie schwarz, weiß und grau. Begriffe aus der Farblehre wie „unbunt“, „Unfarbe“ oder „reizarme Farbe“ werden diesen Farben meiner Meinung nach nicht gerecht. Ein schlichtes Outfit in grau, schwarz oder weiß kann manchmal viel mehr Reiz und Aussagekraft haben, als strahlende Farben oder Muster. Daher fühle ich mich in meinem zweiten Outfit meiner „monochrome collection“ nicht wie eine „reizarme graue Maus“. Denn manchmal braucht es einfach nicht mehr. Was meint ihr?
On the one hand I associate one-colored outfits or rather pieces out of the same color family with monochrome looks – on the other hand outfits in non-colors like black, white and grey. In my opionion terms of color theory like „achromatic“, „non-color“ or „indistinctive color“ fall short of this colors. Sometimes a simple outfit in grey, black or white is much more attractive than bright colors or patterns. Therefore I don’t feel like a mousy person in the second outfit of my monochrome collection. Cause sometimes less is more. Do you agree?
